A truck and bus dealer group’s three-year search for a site for its new head office has ended in success – thanks to Coventry-based commercial property experts Bromwich Hardy.
Bromwich Hardy founding partner Richard Hardy has helped franchised Volvo dealer Truck & Bus Wales & West (WW) buy a seven-acre site for its new HQ in Bristol.
WW, which has ten sites across South Wales and the South West and annual sales of £60m, is moving on to Delta Properties' newly released extension of Central Park at Avonmouth.
Richard said the deal marked a successful end to a lengthy search for the company.
“There is limited availability in the area for the sort of site WW required, which was about two-thirds workshops and one-third offices. Fortunately we were able to identify this seven acre site as an excellent opportunity and are delighted that the deal has now been completed.
“The site has full planning consent already granted for open storage or new-build warehouse and distribution, so WW can get started straight away on building their new headquarters.”
Billy Nairn, managing director at WW, said: "After searching for many years to find the right location in Avonmouth, we are delighted to have completed on this land purchase and look forward to building a new head office and main workshop to continue supporting our customers and provide great facilities for our staff."
Michael Shebson, of Delta Properties, added: "Our infrastructure programme, including a new access road, is on schedule to complete before the end of 2019. Discussions with other potential occupiers are advanced, attracted by the location to the motorway network with the anticipated opening of the new M49 junction, and the huge benefits the existing planning consent bring.
"We expect to announce further deals shortly."
The WW deal marks the third sale in the latest phase of Delta Properties' developments in Bristol, with the likes of The Range, Amazon, DHL and Lidl already based at Central Park.
Avison Young and Knight Frank acted on behalf of Delta Properties. Lodders Solicitors and Bromwich Hardy acted on behalf of WW.
