Redrow Homes South Midlands, on Waterside Way, recently hosted its annual charity golf day, an 18-hole competition held to raise funds for local charities.
As part of an ongoing partnership, the chosen charity was the Henry Allen Trust, which supports young people battling cancer. On the day, 21 teams composed of Redrow team members and contractors teed up and showcased their putting skills for a good cause, raising £11,250.
The amount will be added to the £30,000 already raised in the past by Redrow during various events, including a Rust Bucket Rally, which saw team members travel from Northampton to North Africa by car, a Question of Sport charity quiz night, and a number of cake sales.
Dawn Allen, who launched the Henry Allen Trust, said: “We are really grateful for Redrow Homes South Midlands’ consistent support and amazing generosity over the past year. The tremendous amount of money they have raised so far will allow us to continue to support families and bring them happiness in any way we can.”
Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “We are honoured to continue to show our support to good causes. The Henry Allen Trust is an exceptional charity and provides vital assistance to young people and their families, so I am thrilled with the amount that was raised on the day.
“This year’s charity golf day was a great success, and I’d like to say a big thank you to all the Redrow team members and contractors who competed. We look forward to continuing to show our support to the Henry Allen Trust over the coming months.”
The Henry Allen Trust endeavours to make life easier for those struggling with childhood cancer, granting wishes that allow families to create special memories, as well as providing emotional support, advice and financial help to families and friends of those affected.
