We sold our Birmingham flat in two weeks!

From city living to the suburban dream, second steppers Lauren and Tom sold their Birmingham flat in less than two weeks, thanks to Countryside’s Assisted Move scheme.

Assistant Psychologist Lauren Laverick Brown (25) and Student Union Manager Tom Clarke (28) are amongst many young couples who are opting to put down roots at Countryside’s new Shifnal development, Linwood Park, over the bright lights of the nearby Birmingham city centre.

Lauren comments: “Moving to a more suburban area just felt like the right ‘next step’ for us. Having enjoyed city centre living for a while now, we were ready for somewhere quieter. We’d actually decided on Shifnal before we even found the house, as it’s such a great location. Our new home is really close to the train station, which is exactly what we wanted, and the surrounding green land is a real bonus.

“We were confident that a newbuild home was what we wanted, so we looked around a few different developments in the area. But, none of them really stood out to us like Countryside did. The specification that comes with Countryside’s homes is really impressive, you really do get a lot for your money.”

The couple’s new three-bedroom Longford home comes complete with an open-plan kitchen dining room, a separate lounge, a utility area, three good-sized bedrooms and a family bathroom. The property also benefits from Countryside’s enhanced specification which includes integrated appliances, Porcelanosa tiles, vanity units and chrome finishes.

“We knew the Longford was the home for us as soon as we saw it. The design and layout of the house is really modern and we get compliments on the open-plan kitchen all the time. It’s the skylights and French doors, we absolutely love them!”

Using Assisted Move meant that the couple could climb the property ladder much sooner than expected, as the scheme provides buyers with practical support in selling their existing home by working with an independent estate agent. Plus, the homebuilder will pay the estate agent’s fees once the property is sold, saving buyers money and enabling a hassle-free move.

“Assisted Move worked out really well for us. We were quite surprised just how quickly - our flat sold in less than two weeks!

“Countryside were very supportive throughout the whole process and the sales consultant, Victoria, was always on hand to answer any questions. It’s been a great experience and we’re really excited to get started on turning the house into our home.”

Joanne Bradbury, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at Countryside, added: “Assisted Move is proving to be a popular incentive for buyers at our Linwood Park development, who are looking to upscale into a larger home. Through the scheme, buyers can potentially avoid a lengthy chain, whilst receiving full open-market value for their existing home. We look forward to enabling more buyers like Lauren and Tom to take this exciting at our developments across the region.”

Homes at Linwood Park start at just £239,995. For more information about the new homes visit www.linwood-park.co.uk, call 01952 897556 or visit the sales office daily, 10am to 5pm at Linwood Park, Stanton Road, Shifnal, Shropshire, TF11 8DU.
